Life Alone

Hey readers!

I  know.... I Know... It's been a while but in 2018 every thing is going to change. I am so excited about the faith leaps that are about to take place. But that's not what this blog is about. Today I want to address an ongoing epidemic that has been going for, forever. The epidemic that causes depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, rejection, loneliness, self-esteem issues, disappointment, and just doubt. This epidemic is not always talked about nor is it addressed with a solution. As a matter of fact some don't even see it as a problem actually a cure. I know you are wonder what is it.... It's the epidemic that life should be lived alone.

Now let me gone ahead and tell you that this blog is not going to have any correct grammar in it. As a matter of fact I may not even re-read it to add or take away from it, because I want you to hear my heart. I mean the true rawness of my heart.

So I was talking with a sister of mine about how she was doing and feeling. She shared with me that she was feeling anxious because the one year anniversary of her mother's death that was coming up and she did not know if she was ready to deal or handle the emotions that went with the day. As she continue to talk about how she was feeling, I share with her the why behind somethings that happen in September at a sister's house and why I made it a priority to make her birthday extra special. As I disclosed about the situation I ended the conversation with this one statement: "Sis, Daddy never intended for us to live life alone, so you can't do this by yourself." Though she was in agreement with that statement, that statement did something to me. It may realize that we as people (believer or not) have been living life the wrong way. We have made an effort and put great energy into living life alone. When I tell you  that I never thought about how much we put into doing life alone.... Well, let me say I have never thought about how much I try to do life alone until that statement.

I mean think about it.... How many times have we made the statement " I can do it. I got it. Don't worry I will handle it"?  For me, more than I could count and think of . I know you are wondering how did I get the revelation that Daddy did not design us to do life alone. Can I give you two scriptures?
Let's start at the beginning. Genesis 2:18 18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” I know we see that scripture and automatically think that it applies to marriage, because after that Eve was created. But can I tell you that this does not just apply to marriage but all relationships.  Let me back that statement up with a scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.  See Daddy has given us a confirming word that we are not to do life alone. But why are we determine to do the opposite? Why are we so adamant to measure life success through life alone? I can't answer these questions for you, but I can answer them for me and it is the most simple answer. Because the world says life should be done alone. But as believers we have to know that this is not the way that Daddy intended for us to live life, as a matter of fact, for us to live life alone would be going against the will of GOD. Yep I said it. To do life alone is going against the original will of GOD for us to do this thing called life. What if we live life with the idea of including others? What if we live life with the intent to create great relationships? What if we live this simple principle of relationship?

Today I challenge you to stop living life alone and start living life with the idea of establishing healthy relationship so that we can truly be in the will of GOD. A kingdom is not a kingdom without people and the body is not a body without parts. We must realize that life was never meant to be done alone it was then GOD would have not called us the body of Christ that is made of many parts. The letters that James, Paul, and Peter wrote to the church would not address how they treated one another or how they need to serve one another and others. I can go on and on but you get. Life was not meant to be lived alone. So stop trying to do what the world says is right and truly get back into the grace of GOD by learning how to live life with others.

Prayer: Daddy we thank you that you have not called us to live life alone and that you have purpose us for relationships. Thank you Daddy that though we try to do things on our own that we are more successful doing things together. Daddy help us become more aware of when we are outside of your will and how to get back to where you need us to be. Help become selfless and show ourselves friendly that we can maintain the relationships that you called us to. In Jesus Name! AMEN

The Friction of Wind

So today while at prayer Daddy revealed to me the purpose of wind. No it's not just to circulate the pollen in the air or keep us cool. The wind at its greatest speed will cause a great friction to occur that will cause things that were hidden or unknown to be revealed. Don't believe me? Let me give you scripture to back it up. Mark4:38-41
38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Now I know you are saying what did the wind reveal in these verses? Well something great actually. Let's examine each verse to see how the wind revealed some great things starting with 38. In verse 38 we see two things that were revealed. The comfort, peace, and calmness of Jesus and the doubt of the disciples. Verse 39 we see the authority of Christ and the obedience of the wind. Verse 40 reveals the hearts of the disciples, their lack of faith, and dare I say it religious mindset. Ok let me pause because someone might get offended. But let me say this. These men had seen Jesus heal the sick, raise the dead, feed 5,000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread with leftovers, and never went without anything. Yet they did not feel that Jesus the one that did all of this, could not save them from the strength of a might wind? This is the mindset of some believers (me included) if it's a great thing Daddy can do it but he does not specialize in the minor. WRONG!!! He specializes in all things concerning his children whether it is corporately or individually. Minor or Major. Religion in the sense I am talking about, is doing the action without the relationship. Or in disciples case seeing the work and going through the motions of following without realizing the work, works for them. I  know that sounds  heavy (in the words of my sister) so let me break this down in simple terms. That's like getting saved but not realizing it comes with benefits for the here and now. That's like having bluetooth capabilities and still holding the phone because you are not use to the accessibility that the bluetooth gives you. I hope you get it. So in summary, the disciples had access to Jesus and knew with him that miracle, signs, and wonders would happen but they forgot that it applied to them as well.... That's religion.... Ok, lets examine the last and final verse...Verse 41, which revealed three things... 1. That the disciples had allow the spirit of fear to consume them so much that even after Jesus gave them peace, they were still doubtful. 2. The disciples realized the authority of Jesus. 3. (Last, but not least) The disciples hearts had fail to realize who they were truly connected to. Isn't that crazy that after all that Jesus had done in these verses they were still left with questions. But that's like us, right. We ask Daddy to do something, give us a sign, or answer a prayer... He does it and we are still left questioning things about him. But I am here to tell you that the friction of the wind also creates space and opportunity for something new. Even thought verse 41 ends with a questions it also create the moment of growth that lead to so many great historical and biblical events. Events that gave us access to Daddy. So the questions now come: Are you ready for the friction of the wind in your life? Are you ready to see the heart that the wind will reveal when it comes to your relationship with Daddy? I know I am ready for the wind...it maybe painful, but it will at least create the opportunity and moment for me to passionately pursue JESUS and draw closer to Daddy.

Prayer: Daddy thank you, that though the winds in our lives may seem strong and unmanageable, we can call on the name JESUS and find peace, rest, and calmness. We thank you that it's at the name of JESUS that the winds must obey. We thank you, that we will never doubt or have little faith in the things of you Daddy.  Draw us closer to you through the winds of your glory, your peace, your grace and mercy. In Jesus Name, AMEN!

In This Seasson

Hello Readers!!!
So if you all don't know the I have been working on her thesis and feeling like I am getting no where! But I read the Arise5 (the prophetic journal based on the Hebrew calendar.. check it out at: www.arise5.com)  and I am getting my strength back. But I want to encourage you like I was encourage. We are in the month of Tammuz which is one that is filled with great things and I am so excited to see them manifest. There where six things that really stuck out that we must be aware of and make part of our lives. 1. This is the season where GOD is going to show you areas in your life that you need to adjust in order to remain in his will and stay on the path that he has called you to. 2. Light. This is the season where your light will need to shine bright and this will happen by accepting and taking on the glory of GOD. This is done by being in his presence through prayer and worship. Ask GOD to take your worship to another level that His glory will be just as real to other as it is to you. 3. Delay (this one is for me) This is the month to celebrate the delays in your life, and know that they are the confirmations of GOD's preparation for your victory and promotion. 4. Choice. In this seasoning choosing to accept the positive in negative situations is crucial. You must speak the word in faith this season when it comes to negativity. Celebrate the positive in your life. I hope she doesn't mind but I love the fact that friend  was able to celebrate the healing of her son's heart but not only that, when he had to be place back on oxygen for a while she stayed positive by say "it's just for a moment". That's how we must response to negativity "IT'S JUST FOR A MOMENT," and if we declare the word of the LORD it will be just for a second. 5. Vulnerable... OOOOOOO I know some of us have a hard time with this word but this is necessary in this season. We can't be super heroes in handling those moments that seem overwhelming in our own strength, it's time that you tap into ... Say it with me Circle of Influence which brings me to my last point....6. Relationships. It's time to look at your circle to make sure it's still healthy, productive, functioning, and balance. I know it's heart and hard to prune and add to our circle but in this season it is necessary. Make sure your circle doesn't get stale and that you are open to new relationships.
Prayer: Daddy we thank you that we are in a season where life, light, delay, choices, vulnerability, and relationships are key essentials to how we function in this season. WE thank you that we have life in you, and you give us life more abundantly as we stay on the path that you called us to. Help us with every assignment that we encounter daily, that you may get the glory in our actions. Helps us seek your face always that your presence will become and remain real to us and your glory may be the light that the world sees in us. Daddy help us accept, rejoice, and understand your delay is not a denial only a setup for your blessings. Help us Daddy to make the right choice in this season. That we speak your word during negative situations and stand on the promise of your positive outcome. Daddy help us become vulnerable in our times of needs that we seek out help when we need it the most as well as accept the help of others. Help us Daddy to not only be givers but receivers. Some of us are quick to give and slow to receive, help us find balance in both areas. Last Daddy gives us the strength and the heart to let go of the relationships that don't grow us, that paralyze us in hurt, disappointment, unforgiveness, and discouragement. Help us make room for new relationships and give us the wisdom in who to let in and out of our lives. Help us not to see the pruning process as a place of pain , but one of growth and healing. In Jesus Name. Amen!

A day

Today Daddy is a day I truly wish that I had a mate. Today the sun you created is shinning bright, the temperature is not too hot and the pollen is not at full blast that I can't go outside and enjoy the day. But here I sit daydream of a person that doesn't exist. To be in a position where when he gets off from work we meet up at one of the parks and walk around enjoy great conversation with each other, discussing our future together or even as individuals, and just taking in your great creation. Yet on this day I am inside talking to you about my thoughts. Daughter that sounds great and I hope you know that a day like today with your expectations is not that far away, but why can't we have a day like that? Why can't you take the time out and have a day with your Daddy. I want to tell you about the future plans I have for you. I want to enjoy a conversation of your heart, listening to what you desire, and I give you the instructions on how to get there. Daughter I know on a day like today you seek to have the companionship that I created you to have, but until that day comes, come have a day with me. I may not be there in a natural flesh body but my presence will always place you in a position where you will never feel alone. I can hold your hand and enjoy my creations with you. I really just want a day where we can enjoy our relationship. I know that your heart desires something more and daughter please hold fast to that desire. It is the desire of my plan, but until I get through preparing the moment come walk with me in the park. Come enjoy this day with me. Daddy that sounds great, but I can't see your facial expressions as I discuss the craziness of my life, or hear you laugh at the jokes I try to tell, or even see how you look at me as I look at you. Daughter trust me I understand what you are saying and I have to say is give me the moment to give you the moment you so desire. Know that a day with me can just impacting as one with your mate. I can give you revelation about who I am through my Holy Spirit. I can heal you in just one conversation. I can change your life, create your world, and give you favor, and love on you all at the same time. Daddy I think I like that. I never thought that you could come and be a mate to me in that way. Thank you Daddy for clarity on taking our relationship tp a new level. Daughter you are welcome!!!

With great love and affection,

Your Daddy and true soulmate

A Morning

Dear Future Husband:
If my heart could express what I was feeling today I think you would understand the unexplained emotions that I demonstrated on this morning. First let me apologize for taking my sealed and covered heart out on you. I forget that there is another part of me that I can talk to, be free with, and cry on. I forget that I am no longer this single woman seeking to be found by the one that GOD tailored made me for. I forget that you are my rock, you know things even before I express them, because you and the father have conversations about me daily. I forget that you know how I function. You know what is really wrong with me though I try to keep my mask in tack, you quickly slip it off and see my nakedness. I forget that you love me.. not the me that I reveal to you, but the me that I keep hidden. I forget that you know me! You know the heart of who I am.. You know that at night I cry because I can't meet the world's demands. That I want to save nations but struggle to save me. That there are times that I wish to be free but have created a bubble so big to protect me that I forgot to let you in or better yet pop it.. Future I forgot!!! I truly did!!! But I am so glad that in my outburst you took me tears and all.. and you held me. And as you held me, you spoke to the father about me. You spoke life to me, you spoke love into me, you declared and decreed things that I couldn't see. As I cried in your arms not knowing what to do today. You took on the light of the father, and shined on me. You became my strength and though your day was busy with appointments and meetings, You cancelled them all just to be with me. To comfort me.. Take care of me. You became my superhero though I told you I didn't need to be rescued. You became my all when I felt like I had nothing. You became everything I needed you to be and completed the assignment of the father to me. For this my heart screams thank you.. but my tears say I appreciate you. I never thought you could truly be my all in all in one breath, but you took on the assignment with a heart of GOD courage and said father give me strength, and he did that a more. Thank you for never allowing me to forget that you and I are one, and the purpose of our union is not about a person but a purpose.
With a heart of relief,
Your Grateful Wife

The Thought of Love

Dear Future Husband:
As I sit here thinking about you. I hear the Jill Scott song in my head.."Just Running Across My Mind." The lyrics that stick out to me that describes you are.... " I love seeing you walk into a room... across the room, out of the room... I just love what you do... Then I added my own lyrics...I love seeing you smile... I love that I motivate you... I love your passion... I love that you want to save the nations, but you are taking care of our family first. I love that you can be my personal superhero yet vulnerable enough to accept help.I am just in love with all of you.Totally grateful that you are willing to spend the rest of your life being in ministry with me.
Committed to You,
Your Pearl

Proud

Dear Future Husband:

You know the saying behind every great man is a great woman? I don't believe that. I believe that beside every great man is a woman willing to help him with life's challenges, protect him when he is frustrated, speak life to him when he is feeling useless, and be what he needs when he feels the world is against him. I believe together they become great and their marriage blooms into a beautiful example of love. Now society thinks that this a myth, especially in the black community, but I think we can prove them wrong and make it a fact.

Fist up, fro high,

Your Queen

Courtship

Yesterday I had the honor of sitting and talking with my friend Ms. Chloe M. Gooden  author and created of the Know Your Worth Rubie Movement and ministry. In our conversation we talk about any and everything but the thing we talk about the most was courtship. If you are single, married, engaged, or looking this blog is for you. I am not going to get deep at all but I wanted to share my heart, because as a woman that has went through all the cycle of a relationship (singleness, marriage, divorce, singleness again)  I realized that the next one I get involved in I want the honor and privilege for it be a courtship. You will know what courtship is when you read the book Song of Solomon. How the bride and groom had their arguments, ups and downs, but through it all they had the support, accountability, and love of family and friends to keep them straight until their wedding night. They had friends that protected their investment in each other, covering them in prayer through the process of courtship, loving them, encouraging them, and making sure they remain in their purpose and will of GOD.  This is courtship to me. The ability to be with one person that purse the father to get to me. The one who says I want to surround myself with people who see my heart of wanting a mate and giving me wisdom on how to pursue, keep, and maintain a healthy, GODly relationship with my mate. I love Proverbs 18:22 " A man that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from GOD." That to me is the ultimate instruction for a man in the way that he should pursue his wife until he dies. Keep finding her I don't care if you been married 50 years there is something about her that has developed due to her marriage to you. If you are dating you truly have not arrived yet. There are things about her that you haven't tapped into that cause her to tick, grow, and even become motivated. If you are engaged that doesn't mean that your journey to finding her is over, it simple means that the journey has begun. Don't settle in what you know keep pursing her as though you met for the very first time again. Today I urge you to look  at how your enter, pursue, obtain, maintain, and even purpose relationships. Are you in a place were you dating a person or persons so that you can figure out what you want? Or are you in a place where you are dating, married, or engaged to one person and content where you all are in your relationship with each other that you don't care to get to know each other any more? Wherever you are can I tell you one thing... Courtship is the key to your happiness in GOD when it comes to your relationship on the level of loving with and on purpose. That he wants you to be active in courtship the art of his love in your relationship with detail instructions from his word.

Prayer: Daddy we thank you that even though the world has it's way in how we should pursue relationships and marriage, you have giving us great instructions in your word on what we your daughters and sons should do. Thank you Daddy that we shall be the favor that we should be and the helpmates that we are called to be to our husbands, and they should be the covering that they are called to be along with the priest you purpose them to be. Daddy I lift up every married couple. I plead the blood of Jesus over their marriage, remind them of your word that love is patience, love is kind, it never boost; that what you have joined together no man can tear apart and that means them as well. Daddy remind them that you are a great counselor in all situations and no matter what the issue you can handle it. Daddy remind the husband to find his wife in you for she is the key to his favor in you and remind the wives that their value can't be determine by prize possessions only the blessings that her husband and you speak over her along with her children. Daddy I pray for those engaged to be married. I thank you that they have accepted the call to the process of marriage, cultivate their hearts to receive the work that comes with the title of husband and wife. Help them to deal with arguments in the manner of peace and wisdom, not flesh, feelings, and unwise emotions. Help them to pray for each other daily collectively and individually. Help them to maintain their relationship with you and not getting caught in the details of the a day. Daddy most importantly keep them in a position were they love each other unconditionally.  Daddy I lift up the singles.. OOOOOOOO DADDY being single in a world where sex, sin, and fornication is the normal and expected in our single state is hard. Daddy keep our minds focused on you and your word. Help us to stand on the promise that we are called to your purpose and you have someone that is perfectly made for us. Help us remain patient in our wait and still in our season, waiting on your instructions. In JESUS name! AMEN
