Birthday Behavior

Hello Readers!!!

I know, I know!!! I haven't posted in two weeks!! But, can I be honest I haven't had the energy and know how to post, what you need in order to be in encouraged. So, I had to get my life and pray about what I needed to share with you.

So, today is a special day. I didn't want to release this blog on Tuesday as usual because I wanted you to be a part of my birthday celebration. Yes, today is my birthday and I am super excited about it. Every year for the last 6 years I have always been in a funk when it is time for my birthday countdown. I would find myself comparing where I should be to where I am. I would think about all that I lost. My areas of lack. My areas of fear and frustration. Anything negative, I thought about it as my birthday approached. But, this year was different I don't know what happened or when it happened. (That's usually how Daddy works. He will shift you and transition into your next without you  being fully aware of the shift or the transition).

Today is not your usual blog.  It is a blog filled with revelation and insight. One to encourage you to enjoy life in spite of! This blog is to bring you more aware of what is going on with you. What Daddy wants to do through you. How you can live the abundant life that Jesus talks about in John 10:10

Let's get started!!!

As I prepared for today I decided to do three things. 1. Reflect. Not on what I wanted and needed. Not on what I did not have. But, reflect on the fact that I did not look like what I had been through. I start to look at pictures from the last 6 years. I saw how I lost and gain weight. I saw how my mask sometimes showed, but no one confronted me about it. I saw how I pushed through despite feeling like life was not even worth living. 2. Realize. I came to the realization that who I am will never be who everyone needed me to be. I will not be able to please everyone, fit there mode, or even be accepted by everyone. Last 3. Revelation. I got the revelation that I have not lived up to my full potential. That I have allowed myself to become complacent, fearful, and doubtful. I found myself comparing myself to people I thought I wanted to be, instead of asking Daddy what He needed me to be.

Through these decisions, five things were birth out of me. 1. Concentration. I realize that I need to focus on what is in front of me. Learn from what is behind me. Prepare for what is ahead of me.  By doing these things I will be able to be productive. 2. Consistent. When you create a routine that works keep working it. Keep building on it. Having foundation is the key to success and consistency is the cornerstone. Daddy is consistent, and because we are made in His image we must be the same. 3. Courage. You must be bold enough to think outside your box. To be in a position where you are willing to say "Yes," in spite of the test. Your "Yes", can't be compromised due to your discomfort. Which brings me to the fourth thing...4. Comfort. You must become comfortable being uncomfortable. See the more you get used to being uncomfortable the more you get shifted and transited into your next. Last but not least 5. Completion. This one is hard because I am so goal oriented that I felt like this referred to my assignment and not me as a person. But, this completion is about being whole. It's about realizing that what you thought you needed was not what you really needed. It's about being ok with you despite your flaws. It's the summary of everything I have discussed with you so far.

So, I am sure you are wondering how can all this information help you out. What can you do with this information? Simple. Use it. Look and see what you need to work on in the three decisions. What decisions do you need to make that you haven't made? What decisions do you need to re-evaluate? The five things birth out of me... Well, those or my tools, revelations, elements of life. They are the things that I need for this next chapter. They can be some or all that you need in your current journey.

Today, I challenge you to use my birthday to create a new year for you. No, not a new you, a new year. We are always waiting for January 1 for us to start all over. But, the reality is, our new year starts every time we open our eyes and breathe the breath of life.

Prayer: Daddy, we thank you for this moment. The moment to breathe, your breath of life. The moment to really get somethings straight in our lives. We thank you for the ability to point out the things we need to deal with. The thing that we need to evaluate and make decisions about in our lives. We realize we do not have time to waste, and we must stay in tune with you. Thank you for your guidance through your Holy Spirit. This moment could not be productive without your Holy Spirit. In JESUS name! AMEN!

#DearFutureHusband

I can't believe that my journey of #DearFutureHusband started a year ago. I never knew that my little post and comment to my future husband would impact not only women but men to desire their own future mate. As I enter into 2017 it is important to me to continue the ministry of my #DearFutureHusband by creating #DearFutureHusband365. I hope as my readers you will take part in this great conversation whether married or single. I think speaking to your future or current spouse is a great way to create moments of appreciation, growth, and create intimate moments that will last a lifetime. The Bible always reminds us of how powerful our words are and the wisdom we should use when it comes to using our tongue. Here are a couple of scriptures that got me all the way together when it come to my tongue.

Proverbs 12: 18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 15: 4 The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 16:1 To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.

Proverbs18:21 (The well know scripture about the tongue) The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

It amazes me that after Proverbs 18:21 we find the scripture that summarizes the heart of courtship between a man and woman. A man that finds a wife finds (obtains) favor with GOD. This can only happen when we know the power of our tongue. Daddy is so Amazing in his strategy. He gives us the formula for us to get our in positions to be found as a wife and for the husband to gain GODly favor. I LOVE IT!!

Prayer: Daddy we come seeking you for wisdom on how to use our words and speaking the future of our lives into existence. Daddy as we continue to wait for our future spouses, please us be patient in your timing. Help us to understand that your timing is perfect and it comes with a greater reward, one that our mind couldn't even think of. One that outweighs our heart desires. One that creates a moment that causes us to stretch out on faith and trust you more.
In Jesus Name
AMEN!

The Art of Thankfulness

Good Tuesday Morning!!! I. I was reading my prophetic devotional  and it was talking about about dealing with the anti-Christ but today was really one that convicted me. It was talk about how to use Thanksfulness/Thanksgiving in order to fight and deal with the anti-Christ. Can I be honest I have found it difficult to be thankful when: I am so tired when it comes to my job, my singlehood, and just overall life status. I know the word says in all things give thanks and please know that's my goal and that's why this edition of the devotional convicted me with a passion to ask daddy for a vision of thankfulness. I realize that life will never go the way WE plan but thank GOD his plan is perfect. Thanksgiving and the heart of thanks opens doors for the more enough. When JESUS gave thanks for the five loaves of bread and two fish it went from feeding a little boy and his family to feeding 5,000 and they had leftover to take home. LEFTOVERS!!! Let me just settle right there. When we get to a place of thanksgiving with a thankful heart Daddy will allow us to have leftovers.. In other words the overflow is in your thankfulness. Let's examine one more benefit of thankfulness. It causes Daddy to take on the issues of our heart. Phil.4:6-7" Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Not only does thankfulness meet my heart need, but it grants me the peace of GOD, a mindset to trust him in the things of my heart, protect me, and for GOD to make my issue his priority. In the words of my sister oh that preach right there!
Prayer: Daddy so many times we miss the moments to give you thanks dealing with us and our issues. We sit complaining, contemplating, comparing, and coercing things in our life to reflect what we think our life should be when we should be giving you thanks. Daddy forgive us for being in our will when all we had to do is take time and be in yours. Daddy forgive us for not always not having a heart and the speech of thankfulness. Daddy today want to take the time out and say thank. Thank you for being so great to us. Thank you for being our provider, provision, and promise keeper. Thank you for life, healthy, and strength. Thank you for your word that says I am more than a conqueror in you through Christ JESUS. Thank you Daddy that no matter what situation, circumstance, issue, or problem we will thank you first and tell you our heart next. But we will always thank you!! In JESUS NAME. AMEN!!!

The Title of Faith

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

What a verse right!!! I mean it seems so easy to understand and comprehend that it should cause us to act in faith daily right?!? Well let's look at the father of faith, the one who had so many descendants that he could not count them. The same man that had to wait 25 years just to see the promise of GOD to come true.  Let me back that up...25 years to wait on GOD, to manifest what he spoke !!! Let me give you the BCV (book, chapter, verse) on that In Genesis 12:1-4  The promise was given to Abraham in these verses were instructions on how to obtain this promise and what to do in his wait. Genesis 17:17, five chapters later, the promise is manifested and by this time Abraham is 100 years old.  So what do you do when you wait 25 years for a promise but by the time GOD manifest it you seem like you are unqualified for the promise you have been praying for? That's deep.. Let me simplify that for you so you can get the revelation that I got. Abraham prayed to Daddy for a son, he believe and Daddy said to him I heard you and you will get that and more. You got that part? Ok So He waits 25 years for the YES to manifest from Daddy and after the Yes is manifested Abraham says to Daddy  I am no longer qualified for the prayer I prayed or even ready for the promise...

WOW!!! I am sorry if I lose it for a minute, but how many times have you told Daddy you are not ready for the one thing you have been praying for. You have spoke it in faith for the first five years of your prayer life but after years of speaking you give up and when it comes to pass you find yourself feeling unequipped for the blessing or the manifestation. WOW!!! That blows my mind because  we seek to want the blessings and the promises of GOD but we never want to be in the place of waiting.

So what is faith for real? Let's take the scripture that I started the post with and break it down with the revelation that we get from the story of Abraham's wait. So Hebrews 11:1 says: Now faith is. Let's stop there. From these three words we can learn that faith is a very present thing that happen constantly. That means that faith has no expiration date. It means that faith is use today, yesterday, and forever more. Now, to the next part of that scripture... confidence in what we hope for Whew!! I think I am about to blow my own mind. In order to have faith you must have confidence not in the act of faith, but in  pursuit of faith as well as the Yes of GOD.  Let me make that clear for you... It simply means... I must have confidence that when I speak it in the present then my today, yesterday, and tomorrow will always be prepared for  manifestation of it even if I have to wait for it.... Now that's deep. Let's look at the last part of the scripture.... and assurance about what we do not see. Ok so if you are like me you like to see the things of GOD, and not just the words of GOD. .. It's the error of our human nature right?!? Well in order to have true faith you must be assured about what we do not see.. this simply means that we must be in the position where we know what we have faith in is in line with what GOD has already said. So in summary faith is speaking back to Daddy what he has spoke to us with confidence and assurance that His word shall never return to him void no matter how long we have to wait for it.

Prayer: Daddy thank you for the ability to have faith, exercise it, and pursue it with the heart of confidence not in us but in you. We love you Daddy and there is nothing like you. We seek to be your daughters and sons of faith yielding to the promises you have for us and learning the benefits of waiting. In Jesus Name Amen!

All I need

Today as I vacation with a friend we had the honor to experience some new things.  We went to a  restaurant and meet of family of women.  A sister and her sister-in-law and their daughters.  As we waited the sister-in-law share with us how her husband was in the military and she was not from Tennessee but New Jersey, and her husband was serving in overseas.  But what caught my attention is when she shared how she adjusted to coming from the north to the south.  She said that she submerge herself in the cultural of the south. I thought to myself that's a great way to adjust. On top of that she shared her necklace.... it said "sweet tea and Jesus..." I was like that is so southern,  but so true. There are times in our lives where we must submerge ourselves in God that the fear in being in a new place,  position,  or even walking in our calling being at peace that allows you do everything at ease.

Prayer: Daddy help us to know that you all we need. We submerge ourselves in your presence and yield to the peace of your  grace. Daddy all of you and none of us.  In Jesus name.  Amen

He Will Fix It

Happy HE will fix it Friday. I realize I need a real handyman n my life. Not the kind that fix pipes, cars, or lights. I need a handyman that can fix the cracks in my heart, the inconsistency of my praise, and mend my broken relationships. While I was getting ready to place my ad in the classifies I ran across the scripture that states u r my workmanship(Eph 2:10). Then I read another scripture that said Daddy you will perfect every thing that concerns me and will not forsake the work of your hand (Ps 138:8). Then I thought to myself there is no need to place an ad when Daddy is the greatest handyman with an awesome track record and great referrals. Always remember if u ever need a fix Daddy has the right tools. Love and have a great fix it Friday!

Prayer: Daddy I sing my heart even now... You will fix it, yes you will, yes you will. Daddy you possess tools that man has no access to. The tools to heal, mend a broken heart, put marriages back together, make a dysfunctional family better. Daddy you go tools that can perform miracles, cause overflow to be stored up for times of need. Daddy you got things that allow the blind to see, and the deaf to hear. Daddy I realize there is nothing in this world or in me that you can't fix , and for that I simply say thank you. Daddy thank you for take the time out to fix me, to fix us! Thank you allowing us to be a tool in your toolbox, assigned to do a great job for you. We love you Daddy and thank you that in our hearts we know your timing will always fix it! Not after while but right no time! In Jesus Name! AMEN

Yes Power

So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.-James 4:7-10 Msg

It's amazing how easy a yes can be when it comes to achieving the things that we desire for ourselves. Think about it. We say Yes to those extra hours at work to get the money we need to get things done. We say yes to the sinful things that bring us, what we think is peace or joy. We are so quick to say yes to our flesh and so slow to say no..... Let's not talk about when Daddy ask us to do something that is uncomfortable our out of the norm. We are quick to analyze, rationalize, and look for scriptures to back up what the Holy Spirit instructed us to do. Especial when another person is involved. In James 4 we see what the power of YES can do. In the mist of trying to get ourselves in shape through repentance and having our intimate conversations with Daddy, Daddy is preparing greater for us. Our yes to him says we surrender all and we cancel our will to take his. Though James seems to be harsh in his presentation, the reality is in order for us to get back to our place in GOD we must get to a place of desperately saying YES!

Prayer: Daddy we know that the only way to you is through the son and the only way to the son is in our surrendering. We surrender all to you. We lay down our will to take up the cross. We submit ourselves under your authority, trusting you in all that we do. Holy Spirit we ask that you guide and direct us under the light of the father. We ask that you open our ears you to Daddy and keep our sight in focus of you. We know that without you Daddy we are the bottom, and we can't get to the top until we get serious in our surrendering. We love you Daddy and today we sing.. I surrender all... I surrender all.. All to thee my blessth savior... I surrender all. In JESUS Name! Amen

The Love Beyond

Luke 6:28 Bless those who curse you  pray for those who mistreat You.

Its hard to be nice to people who openly mistreat you. Especially when you  don't know what was done to cause them to go from friend to foe. But even if or when the transition happen, be assure that your responds to them is love and prayer. Your response to them is what counts and sets the tone for the love beyond. Your ability to turn the other cheek allows them to see that your trust and faith is not in their relationship with you, but the assignment to be what called you to be. The day you learn how to love beyond your emotional response to other is the day you see with the manifestation of GOD's favor and presence overtake you. Speak life over those that speak death over you.

Prayer: Daddy it's so hard to to respond to negative people with a positive respond, especially those who we have inmate relationships with. It's hard to turn the other cheek, to move beyond our emotions, to not get caught up in being angry or holding grudges. Daddy we need your help. Help us to love beyond. Love beyond the moment of anger, the moment of frustration, the argument, the disappointment, and the heartache. Help us to be in a place where you can use us to love beyond. To love beyond our expectations for that person or people, to go beyond our own sight and to look at them through your eyes. Daddy cover us with your love that we can love them beyond us. In Jesus Name! AMEN
