So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.-James 4:7-10 Msg
It's amazing how easy a yes can be when it comes to achieving the things that we desire for ourselves. Think about it. We say Yes to those extra hours at work to get the money we need to get things done. We say yes to the sinful things that bring us, what we think is peace or joy. We are so quick to say yes to our flesh and so slow to say no..... Let's not talk about when Daddy ask us to do something that is uncomfortable our out of the norm. We are quick to analyze, rationalize, and look for scriptures to back up what the Holy Spirit instructed us to do. Especial when another person is involved. In James 4 we see what the power of YES can do. In the mist of trying to get ourselves in shape through repentance and having our intimate conversations with Daddy, Daddy is preparing greater for us. Our yes to him says we surrender all and we cancel our will to take his. Though James seems to be harsh in his presentation, the reality is in order for us to get back to our place in GOD we must get to a place of desperately saying YES!
Prayer: Daddy we know that the only way to you is through the son and the only way to the son is in our surrendering. We surrender all to you. We lay down our will to take up the cross. We submit ourselves under your authority, trusting you in all that we do. Holy Spirit we ask that you guide and direct us under the light of the father. We ask that you open our ears you to Daddy and keep our sight in focus of you. We know that without you Daddy we are the bottom, and we can't get to the top until we get serious in our surrendering. We love you Daddy and today we sing.. I surrender all... I surrender all.. All to thee my blessth savior... I surrender all. In JESUS Name! Amen
This blog is for those that need a reminder that their relationship with GOD should be personal and intimate. So many times we see GOD as this supernatural, all knowing, distant, but loving GOD. But that's not how He wants to be known to you. He wants to be known as Daddy in your life, and this blog is a reflection of that title. NOTE: That improper grammar is used in this blog along with misspelled words. This is due to the real and richness of the blogger's conversation with Daddy.
