Restore Me

Today as I was reading my daily devotion Psalm 51:1-2 stood out to me. I was so overwhelm by the prayer that David prayed in this Psalm about where he was with GOD. How he was able to identify not only what was wrong with him but what was right with GOD and what he needed to replace what he needed from GOD to replace what he was asking him to take out of him. 1 Have mercy on my me O GOD, according to your unfailing love, according to your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. 2Wash away all my iniquities, cleanse me from all my sins.  What an awesome and sincere prayer from the heart of a man who realize that he was in need of something more from GOD. Not only did David place himself on the alter of GOD's mercy, but he also recognized that in the cutting of all that hinders him from GOD he can take hold to his grace.

Prayer: Daddy we come to you asking for restoration. We know our lives are not always conductive to your will, word, and way for that Daddy we ask for you to wash us clean through the blood of JESUS. Help us to rest in your unfailing love and yield to your great compassion. In JESUS name. AMEN!
