A Convicted Heart

Daddy at Bible Study the other night I got convicted about my heart. I found myself dealing with issues of things that I had prayed for, but the reaction to the manifestation of those things seem to yield a heart of ungratefulness. Daddy how did I get here. How did I get to a place where my heart has been tainted so that I become so ungrateful for the things I cried out to you about. Daddy Help me! Daughter you need help with your heart. How did you get here? You got here because you forgot how to use your prayers for my glory. I don't give you what you ask for, that you may use it for your glory and your purpose, I give you what you prayed for that I may be glorified. Well Daddy how do I get out of this. How do I get back to a place where my heart is ungrateful? Daddy before you answer that can I talk about another part of my heart. The part that responds to the provoking. The part that speak before thing that makes you become distant in your presence. Daughter, Daughter everything dealing with your heart can be solved by one example the example of the one that won it... My son David. Despite his response from provoking situations he was truly a man of my heart. Take heed to the words and prayer of his heart in Psalms 51:1-17:

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. 5  Surely I was sinful at birth,  sinful from the time my mother conceived me.Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice.Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. 10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways so that sinners will turn back to you. 14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.15 Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise.16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.17 My sacrifice, O God, is[b] a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Daughter David got what I need from you and what your heart should look like. He realized the conviction that his heart had brought and how it displease me. Once you realize that your heart is the one thing that I want to win then you will not be easily be provoked by what this world has to over, spoke, or even presents to you. The words and actions of people will not offend your heart to reaction. You will understand that my love the unconditional love that I show to you will be able to give you the strength to respond in love and not in negative action. Daughter give me your heart, I will allow the conviction that you feel to be that of healing and not of disappointment. All I ever want is your broken spirit and a contrite heart that I can draw nigh to you. Daddy I get it! I understand that my heart is more value to you than even my life. Because life flows out my heart... The manifestation of my words, the willingness to be obedient to you, my purpose, my ability to be accessible to you is all in the ability to give you all of me... All of me is found in the heart of me. Daughter you got it... You realize that your heart is the foundation of how I operate in your. Your heart is the foundation of our relationship and once I capture that, I captured all of you.... Once you yield your heart to me, you only pursue the things of me. Daddy today I give you my heart. I know that this is something that I will have to do daily in order for you to use me. I lay on the alter of sacrifice to be the offering that you ask for and to yield only to your voice and instruction. Daughter I know this will not be an easy task, but one that will win my heart, usher you into my presence, hear my clearly, and open your eyes to the true purpose of your life. I love you daughter and I am so excited to accept your heart. Know that you are always on the forefront of my mind and my heart is always in love with you. Daddy thank you. No daughter, thank you!

All I need

Today as I vacation with a friend we had the honor to experience some new things.  We went to a  restaurant and meet of family of women.  A sister and her sister-in-law and their daughters.  As we waited the sister-in-law share with us how her husband was in the military and she was not from Tennessee but New Jersey, and her husband was serving in overseas.  But what caught my attention is when she shared how she adjusted to coming from the north to the south.  She said that she submerge herself in the cultural of the south. I thought to myself that's a great way to adjust. On top of that she shared her necklace.... it said "sweet tea and Jesus..." I was like that is so southern,  but so true. There are times in our lives where we must submerge ourselves in God that the fear in being in a new place,  position,  or even walking in our calling being at peace that allows you do everything at ease.

Prayer: Daddy help us to know that you all we need. We submerge ourselves in your presence and yield to the peace of your  grace. Daddy all of you and none of us.  In Jesus name.  Amen

He Will Fix It

Happy HE will fix it Friday. I realize I need a real handyman n my life. Not the kind that fix pipes, cars, or lights. I need a handyman that can fix the cracks in my heart, the inconsistency of my praise, and mend my broken relationships. While I was getting ready to place my ad in the classifies I ran across the scripture that states u r my workmanship(Eph 2:10). Then I read another scripture that said Daddy you will perfect every thing that concerns me and will not forsake the work of your hand (Ps 138:8). Then I thought to myself there is no need to place an ad when Daddy is the greatest handyman with an awesome track record and great referrals. Always remember if u ever need a fix Daddy has the right tools. Love and have a great fix it Friday!

Prayer: Daddy I sing my heart even now... You will fix it, yes you will, yes you will. Daddy you possess tools that man has no access to. The tools to heal, mend a broken heart, put marriages back together, make a dysfunctional family better. Daddy you go tools that can perform miracles, cause overflow to be stored up for times of need. Daddy you got things that allow the blind to see, and the deaf to hear. Daddy I realize there is nothing in this world or in me that you can't fix , and for that I simply say thank you. Daddy thank you for take the time out to fix me, to fix us! Thank you allowing us to be a tool in your toolbox, assigned to do a great job for you. We love you Daddy and thank you that in our hearts we know your timing will always fix it! Not after while but right no time! In Jesus Name! AMEN

Yes Power

So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.-James 4:7-10 Msg

It's amazing how easy a yes can be when it comes to achieving the things that we desire for ourselves. Think about it. We say Yes to those extra hours at work to get the money we need to get things done. We say yes to the sinful things that bring us, what we think is peace or joy. We are so quick to say yes to our flesh and so slow to say no..... Let's not talk about when Daddy ask us to do something that is uncomfortable our out of the norm. We are quick to analyze, rationalize, and look for scriptures to back up what the Holy Spirit instructed us to do. Especial when another person is involved. In James 4 we see what the power of YES can do. In the mist of trying to get ourselves in shape through repentance and having our intimate conversations with Daddy, Daddy is preparing greater for us. Our yes to him says we surrender all and we cancel our will to take his. Though James seems to be harsh in his presentation, the reality is in order for us to get back to our place in GOD we must get to a place of desperately saying YES!

Prayer: Daddy we know that the only way to you is through the son and the only way to the son is in our surrendering. We surrender all to you. We lay down our will to take up the cross. We submit ourselves under your authority, trusting you in all that we do. Holy Spirit we ask that you guide and direct us under the light of the father. We ask that you open our ears you to Daddy and keep our sight in focus of you. We know that without you Daddy we are the bottom, and we can't get to the top until we get serious in our surrendering. We love you Daddy and today we sing.. I surrender all... I surrender all.. All to thee my blessth savior... I surrender all. In JESUS Name! Amen

The Love Beyond

Luke 6:28 Bless those who curse you  pray for those who mistreat You.

Its hard to be nice to people who openly mistreat you. Especially when you  don't know what was done to cause them to go from friend to foe. But even if or when the transition happen, be assure that your responds to them is love and prayer. Your response to them is what counts and sets the tone for the love beyond. Your ability to turn the other cheek allows them to see that your trust and faith is not in their relationship with you, but the assignment to be what called you to be. The day you learn how to love beyond your emotional response to other is the day you see with the manifestation of GOD's favor and presence overtake you. Speak life over those that speak death over you.

Prayer: Daddy it's so hard to to respond to negative people with a positive respond, especially those who we have inmate relationships with. It's hard to turn the other cheek, to move beyond our emotions, to not get caught up in being angry or holding grudges. Daddy we need your help. Help us to love beyond. Love beyond the moment of anger, the moment of frustration, the argument, the disappointment, and the heartache. Help us to be in a place where you can use us to love beyond. To love beyond our expectations for that person or people, to go beyond our own sight and to look at them through your eyes. Daddy cover us with your love that we can love them beyond us. In Jesus Name! AMEN

New Series

So as a founding act of this new season in my life I have to bring back so message that I use to send via text message. In these message we will explore a scripture and encouraging message along with a prayer to meditate on through the day. So let's get started with today's message:

Hebrew 11:8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

When GOD says go, go. Stop worrying about direction and get focus on instructions. When you realize who is guiding you will never have to meditate on where you going.

Prayer: Daddy, forgive us for wanting to analyze your  instructions and not obey your directions. For allowing our mind to be the leader of what our heart is assured in. Help us to hear and do what you say. Not hear and talk about it looking for a greater clarity, or even waiting for the manifest of it to make sense to us. Daddy give us that "Just Do IT" spirit. Daddy, remind us that faith is verb and not a noun. That it requires action not conversation. In Jesus Name, AMEN

The Potential of A Promise

While attending a preschool graduation the children begin to sing a song. I am a promise, a promise with a capital P. I am a great big ball of potentiality. As they continue to sing I was amazed that I never realize how great this song was. As many times I have heard and sang this song I never realized the power behind the words.

First, it states that I am a promise. When was the last time you value the promise that GOD created and destine you for? When was the last time you thank GOD for the promise? I realize that the value of a Promise is only as great as the person that desires the promise.

Second, they state that I am a great big ball of potentiality. WOW! GOD has designed us to a place of never failing in His will, that our potential in Him is unlimited. When was the last time you realized that you can’t fail with GOD? When was the last time you dust yourself off and realize that the potential you have is unique and the only one that can carry your potential is you.

You have to realize that you were boring into a promise it was take away out of disobedience and give back to you through the blood of JESUS. Realize what was done on your behalf that your promise cost and that you have to take it at its true value.

Never lose the promise that GOD has given you. Realize the great power of your potential.

Prayer: Daddy your promises are yea and Amen, but while the manifestation of your yea is taking place remind of the potential you see in us. That we are beyond our situations, stronger than our issues, and saved through your son's blood. That by your grace and mercy your allow us to start afresh and anew. That it's in your that we possess the ability to be beyond the thoughts of this world or conform to it's schedule. That your timing is perfect, and in your perfection you will guide us to greater levels of faith. Thank you  Daddy for healing us from negative thoughts, that we are unworthy of your love, valueless, and unuseable. Thank you Daddy for remind us that we are priceless, and have been brought with a price that no man can ever afford to pay. We thank you Daddy that today we are and will continue to be your great big ball of potentiality. In Jesus Name. Amen

The Passion of Past

Hi! I know that I have not blogged in a minute and  I have no excuse. I have really been dealing with my past lately and I don't know why. Have you ever been a place where you feel like you are truly over it. I mean truly... like nothing about a past issues can cause you to react? Have you been in a place were you saw the people that hurt you or heard their voice and you feel like that situation is right there in your face again? But in your mind you thinking I should be over this, this shouldn't effect me like this... Or maybe you think you are beyond this and and that you need to check yourself... Well.. That's me... About three weeks ago I did something that I thought would be the hardest decision in my life. I mean it was a real heart decision. To some people reading this it may be so minuet. But here goes.. I change my phone number.. Yep I did it.. I know some people are like girl that's it.. that was a heart decision for you? Girl I do that at least three to four times a year, just to clean myself of stupid, unproductive, and negative people I have allowed in my life.... But maybe there are others that feel me.. that know that changing your number is beyond a number change. That it is a life changing decision, cause in the end you are saying good-bye to people that meant you no good, but you invest your life in. That you have to realize that you had some uneducated moments when it came to certain relationships and having with certain people. That you realized that you were driven by the passion of your past. A past that held you tight due to one device.. your phone. Your phone gave people access to your heart, your life, and your energy. You allowing others to have your phone number  told them, call me, let me be your trash can, let me take your negativity, even though I got my own issues. Your phone number may not seem so valuable at first, but once you give people access to it, you will start to see how that one number create a character change in your. Hum.. Powerful huh?!? A Number that give people access to parts of you that you never thought of. Well once I change my number I saw the effects of allowing people have it. I am now wise on who I give it to, because I am aware of the consequences of letting them have it. I realize that if the wrong person posses it, it can cause a passion of your past to rise up.

Prayer: Lord teach me how to love the ones that hurt me, to forgive the ones that offend me to pursue peace when I’m pissed; to move beyond the moment into the lifetime. Help me father to remember it’s not about me, but your kingdom. Help me to stop making temporary permanent, and please help me find words of wisdom, compassion, and understanding to give to the ones that refuse to hear my heart. Father create the atmosphere to rebuild the relationships I destroyed and rebuild me from relationships that destroyed me. Open my eyes to what you are showing me and let me not take this assignment in vain. Give me your presence that I may move at your pace; and father when I become impatient with the present task, can you remind me of the future promises you have for me. Cover me father from my own ignorance and allow me to not be blinded by my own thoughts. Let me focus on your voice, walk in your faith, trust you at your word, and hold fast to your presence with the power of your love. Father I’m an available vessel waiting on your instructions and though I have a couple of cracks and there are places that I still don’t want to explore about me, hold my hand and remind me that you can use anything and any one all we have to do is surrender to your will.

Convictley Convenience

Daddy, while feeding into my flesh I was convicted about my actions and I found myself yielding to a place of repentance. Now Daddy I know that repentance is what I should always do when I allow myself to be consumed with sin and to follow the rules of my flesh while being integrated into the lifestyle of this world, but my conviction when further than my repentance. After speaking to you about the situation I started to reflect on why I did it. What was I missing in me that I choose it over you? What did I think it would fulfill that you couldn't overtake? And Daddy... that's when I became convictley convenience that you are the "Great I AM." You are not just my GOD you are my Daddy! I was convictley convenience that I have purpose and I am tailor made for every assignment that you give me. Daddy I became convictley convenience that you would never leave me or forsake me. That you are always there when I needed... As a matter of fact Daddy you are always on time. When I am about to lose my mind...when things seem unbearable, when bills are stacking up, money is dwindle down....when life says you can't make it and the world is telling me I am not good enough.... Daddy when I am sick in my body and the doctors have no cure I am convictley convenience that you are my healer, my strength, my redeemer. You are my peace in the mist of chaos. You sing over me Daddy, blessings, promises, righteousness, love, joy, grace and mercy. Daddy I am convictley convenience that you have prepared me for this life ... That my husband is on the way... I am convictley convenience that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, that victory is just a shout away. That you called me to be a worshiper, that I can speak and it shall come to pass. But Most importantly I am convictley convenience that Daddy Jesus is my savior and without him there will be no us. That by his stripes I am healed, by his blood I am redeemed, restored, and made anew. That in him I have eternal life. Daddy I am convictley convenience that neither darkness, death, sin, or  any demonic force can take away the love you have for me. The passion you have for me is not measured on how many times I talk to you or how many times I repent it is truly unconditional. Daughter your conviction has brought you to the reality of what I always wanted you to know about me. I am your Daddy the one who provides, protects, and always come to your rescue. That I only want the best for your and that my plan is fireproof. Daughter you get the fact that my love is unconditional and the price for it has been paid by Christ. Daughter I am so glad that you are convictley convenience that in me you have victory. All I ever wanted for you is in your conviction and because of your conviction your grow in your faith. Because of your faith you are convenience there is nothing that I can't do for you. I Love you Daughter and so proud that you realize the power of your conviction.

***Special note convictley is not a word, it something that the Holy Spirit gave me.

The Death of Life

Holy Week is a time for us to reflect on the greatness and sacrifice that Christ made for us on the cross. How he spent 33 years on this earth just to prepare for his death. As we celebrate during this week I would like to challenge us to look at the importance of  Death. As people we see death as the final good-bye, but we know that Jesus made death a hello, by given us eternal life. His death give us the opportunity to have an intimate relationship with Daddy. What an awesome wonder he is and continues to be to us, as he intercedes for us, lives in us, moves in us, and loves us back to him daily.  My heart is overjoyed knowing that the son brought us back to the father. Now let us not forget that the death of Jesus was not easy for him. We know that in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus beg for the father to figure out another way to save man without him dying. But when he realize that his will could not succeed the will of the father, he yield himself to Daddy with the knowledge, faith, and reminder that Daddy would do something so great because of his sacrifice. So today while you hear about the negativity of this world, reflect on the fact that you are covered by the blood.

Prayer: Daddy, thank you for the conversation that you and Jesus had about us. That together you planned a way to get us back into your good grace. That Jesus volunteered his life to be sacrificed that we may have eternal life, and not just eternal but an intimate relationship with Daddy. Because of the blood of Jesus we have freedom, victory, peace, love, and most importantly  Jesus living inside us, giving us access to the Holy Spirit for guidance. Daddy as we face the days of Holy Week, let us not get caught up in the activities, but the gratefulness of your peace, love, joy, forgiveness, mercy, and grace that you give to us daily with the position of being called your children. Daddy we love you, Jesus we say thank you , and though those words can't express the joy of hearts for your life, it is truly a start, Oh Lamb of GOD, Son of Man, Son of Righteousness, Lord of lords, King of king, Awesome Wonder, Savior, Counselor, and Redeemer. In Jesus Name We pray! Amen and Glory to GOD!

Fighting Joy

"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."---Hebrew 12:2,NKJV

What if in order to receive the joy that you desire Daddy told you, you had to fight for it? What if joy is not easy, but obtainable? Would you pursue joy with the same energy, strength, and even mindset that you pursue happiness? These are questions that I had to ask myself as I was listening to the Joy message from yesterday's sermon. I don't know about you, but when I think about joy, I think about two things, easy to obtain, and not worth much my energy....Can I tell you I was so wrong... So wrong. While looking up a scripture to go with this post I ran across Hebrews 12:2. I read this scripture several times, but never really applied it to Joy until now... Can I highlight something in the verse..."Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross." I am stop right there because that in itself just took me into another mindset when it comes to joy. Can I translate what that part of the verse was saying... (embrace yourself)... This verse in simple says: that Jesus took joy in enduring the process of the cross... I am sorry please forgive me... As I cry... Because, what person in their right mind says I will take joy in being a sacrifice? No, better yet who will say.... I will take joy in dying for people who don't even love me enough to see me for who I am...Their savior.... their ultimate lover, the sacrificial lamb, the son of GOD, their personal intercessor... the one that speaks to the father on their behalf, the peace maker, the groom they should be married to, their heart, their healer, their redeemer... I can go on and on... But in the mist of our ignorance, disobedience, selfishness, and just right out fleshy ways; JESUS took joy...Matter of fact he had a Fighting Joy! He fought through his flesh to lay down his will for that of the Father's. Reminding himself that it was not about his satisfaction, but about the Joy that he would bring to the father. He fought the the heartache of being rejected by the people that walked with him and he healed on his way to the cross. He kept silent on the cross so that he could enjoy the Fighting Joy of defeating death and taking back the keys of life. JESUS the one whose blood can wash you white as snow had Fighting Joy in the mist of facing death. So who are we to not to take the action of fight for the Joy Daddy promise us? Stop acting like joy should come with salvation with ease. Where in the Bible does it says... and the Joy of the Lord shall come with ease? It says that the Joy of the Lord is your strength. It says that Joy will come in the mist of victory, but victory is usually achieved after war...With that being said get your war clothes on it's time to fight for your joy!!

Prayer: Daddy we come to you, not asking for Joy, but for help...Help us to be steadfast, focus, and prepared for the fight that comes with obtaining the Joy you desire for us. For you are the Joy of our salvation and there is nothing about you that lacks fight. You fight for our love, for our hearts, and for a relationship with us...you even sacrificed your son to show what you were willing to do to have a fighting position in our lives. Daddy we know take on that same mentality, and we fight for our relationship with you, with a fighting joy. We know that this world, our life, people, things, and just our past will always try to steal the Joy you destine for us to have, but with a fighting praise of victory we grab hold of your joy and the power that comes with it. The power of praise, peace, purpose, and a position in you as an heir to the thrown, and a bride to the bridegroom called Jesus. We know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy and with that knowledge in mind we take on the characteristics of a fighting joy... trusting, knowing, and assured in the victory of the joy we have in you and through your strength Daddy! We love you and daily we set our hearts to fight for your joy. In Jesus name...AMEN!

The Mindset of A Doubter

"For I know that my mind is powerful enough to manifest my thoughts into reality, but I feel like I can't think positive when all I see with my eyes it the negativity of this world and the difficulties of this thing I call life."
---Shawndrika  L. Cook (Recovering Doubter)

What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?--- Psalm 8:4(NKJV)

The mindset of a doubter is powerful and it can cause you to delay your GOD given life destiny. I mean it is you setting you up. Lately I have  possessed the mindset of a doubter. I knew Daddy was a Daddy that could cause an encore that would blow my mind, but in my mind I doubt that I was even worth enough for that encore. Have you ever been there? Have you ever been a place where you knew what Daddy could do, saw him do it for you and others, but when the situation came up again at a different level, your doubt went to a different level? Well that is me all the way. I was in pursuit of a new car...My car had done her job and more. It seem the more I drive her in her condition the worst she got. It started with a crack and it ended with a full blow need for a new car. Now I wanted a new car, but I was going to wait until things got right financially. I started my search and I quickly became discouraged. I rested a week and in that week I became overwhelm with stress, frustration, anger, but most importantly doubt. I was in a place where I prayed and worried... But last week after service I told myself to stop praying and worrying. So last Sunday I took my doubter mindset off and I place the mindset of determination and faith. I went into my prayer closet and I simply told Daddy this: "Daddy know what I stand in need of, and today I specifically state out loud what I stand of need of. I am trusting your word, will, and personal promises to me today; therefore I declare today that by March 20th I will have what I need and more. In Jesus name! AMEN!" So after that declaration and prayer I got up and put my faith to work. I contacted the salesman at the dealership that I was working with and I told him that he had a deadline of March 20th to find a car that met my needs. I had a plan to rent a car for the week while I car shop, because I knew my Daddy was about to show up and out. I went into worship, and since I was already fasting because of Lent, my discernment was high and my spiritual ears were open. (Side bar: Don't ask Daddy what to do when you not in a place to receive what he has to say. Prepare yourself for the conversation with him before you go see him) I was a on a mission I had let go of my doubter's mindset and had put on the mindset of a faith believer! So with my sisters and I  looking for a car for me in the price range I was approve for we made a list of dealers we were going to go to. So the day after we made our list we started our journey. I went to the place where I knew I would find my car, didn't find anything. It didn't shake my faith...but I was feeling some kind of way. I went to the next dealership and again nothing...By this time my desperation kicking in cause I have deadline....I went back to a dealership I had been before when I first started my car search journey. I like the saleswoman that help me so I just knew that this was going to be an easy find...Well when I got there my sister and I drove around the lot to see if anything said yes to me...And nothing. I parked the car and asked for the saleswoman that help me before. She came and we walked around. Nothing.... An older gentleman came up to me and said, "Young lady are you looking to buy a car"...I state, yes sir... "He said don't allow them to give you anything because you need a car. Don't except what they give you at first, get what you want and can afford. Don't settle." After he said that he that I left, because we couldn't find anything, and this time (unlike the last) when I told the saleswoman that I didn't see anything she said ok and was like good luck. I told her thank you... By this time... I can admit I am doubtful, the car that I wanted I couldn't get because the dealership would spend more money on getting it to Alabama than I would pay for it....My sister is getting frustrated and we feed off each other so that means I'm getting frustrated too.... on top of all this we are super hungry. So it's ugly. So as we are leaving the last dealership I feel myself about to settle. I was going to go back and buy a brand new car and just call it a day cause I need a car a.s.a.p. But my sister told to to go into another dealership before we return to the one I was going to buy the new car from. When I turned in I was like ok Daddy you know what I want and need. We looked and looked, my sister was like the pre-owned cars are on this row...So I went and looked for what I wanted. The salesman came and met us. He ask did we need help. I gave him the story that I gave at the last three car dealerships. He was like ok... what do you want and we will get it where you need it. I walk over to the car I like told him I wanted to see. He was like you pick the perfect car. We can get this for you today.... Long story short I walked out the dealership with ownership of the car the same day; not just that I got financed for more, payments flexible with my budget, everything I wanted in a car, and peace... I told you this long story to tell you Daddy can even when doubt is the mindset that you have. The day you spoke it in faith about your situations is the day Daddy went to work on your behalf. Stop ask why.....Why is a doubter's mindset, but the day you ask What... You turn doubt into faith, and you start to operate in the anointing of GOD.

Prayer:  Daddy our doubter's mindset is so easy to settle into. It causes stress, frustration, disappointment, and even depression, yet it makes sense to us. Daddy remind us in the mist of having a doubter's mindset that you never make sense. Nothing about you lines up with our thinking. That the day we stop saying why and start saying what we can see that you were already working things out. Daddy forgive us for allowing doubt to be the mindset we take first, before we activate our faith. Forgive us for settling comfortably in a position that allows the enemy to come in and do what he does best, try to destroy us. Daddy we win in you...we have peace in you...we have victory in you..we have joy in you...but most importantly...we have You. Thank you Daddy for always working things out for our good. In Jesus Name....AMEN

Count It In All Joy

"I will not allow things that I can't control, control me any longer."
--Inspirited by Pastor Chris Hodges, Church of the Highlands

This weekend has been a trying one and it ended on a sad note for me. I lost someone that I love and respected and then I was place in a position that I couldn't control. But life goes on....

Yesterday I went to church not with an expectation, but with the heart of just wanting to be in the presence of Daddy. Well I got that and then some. I am in a place in my life where I need more of something. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I knew it had to be something life changing and supernatural. As I participated in praise and worship a song was played...
When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
What ever my lot you have taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul
As I meditated on the lyrics to the song something resounded in my spirit. It Is well my Daddy has secured me in his word, action, and promises that all is well with my soul. Not just in my circumstances and situations, but all is well with me.... Internal and External. Can you say all is well with your soul? Can you let go of happiness to receive Daddy's joy... Hum.. that just did something to my spirit. Can I let go of yearning for the happiness that the world offers as a right now pleasure to receive the time waiting, patience enduring, trusting and believing, loving  and resting in peace JOY that Daddy offers to me daily? Can I say no to the temporary fix to accept the process of the permanent fix? I won't share my answer, but know that because of theses questions I Count It In All Joy... I Count It In All JOY that I don't have to stress in the mist of things that I can control. I count it in all joy that my Daddy will show up and out even when I don't see a way or the plan of how he show himself strong and his supernatural will over take the natural world.  So today I encourage you to Count It In ALL JOY! That this situations... this circumstance is so temporary.....so name it that....treat it like it is....give it no value....let it go....Trust DADDY more....COUNT IT IN ALL JOY!!! Don't allow the things of this world or the thoughts of your mind to get you off focus. Stop asking Daddy WHY and start asking WHAT when it comes to the circumstances and situations in your life. Daddy what do you want me to learn... Daddy what do I need to do? Daddy what is the purpose? What position should I take? When you start asking WHAT you will realize the loudness of his response and the evidence of his peace. What gets you to a place of preparation... Why gets you to a place of doubt and worry. With What you demand an answer... with Why you second guess the answer that you receive.

Prayer: Daddy so many times we find ourselves counting the cost of our issues, situations, and circumstances that we never see the value of your JOY! We seek happiness over you JOY so we chase and pursue the things that help us to accomplish  happiness and not your joy. So Daddy on today we pursue your Joy... He lay at your feet the things that distract us and the things that cause us to lose focus of your grace, and forfeit your peace. Daddy forgive us for allowing happiness to outweigh the value of your supernatural JOY! In Jesus Name!

AMEN

The Connection

"Connect to your purpose, not your type."
Pastor Van Moody, Worship Center Church, Birmingham, AL
What are you connected to? How is that connection productive? Well these are two questions I found myself asking myself after an awesome Ash Wednesday Bible Study this week... What a way to start Lent right? With these questions in mind I start to examine who I was truly connected to. Are the people in my life my purpose or are they my type. What is my type? Can I tell you I really had to talk to Daddy about this and really had to meditate on the word connection.

Daddy I am lost and confused. I have been challenged with something that I thought I had a clear view of .... Connection...Daddy what does purpose look like...have I lost focus on what type means....UGH!!! Daddy here I am in another season where I feel I am second guessing my purpose, position, and people in my life. I hate moments like this... I really do...Daddy I don't know how many more people I can say good-bye to without feeling alone physically and without feeling like I have let them and myself down. Daddy I have unhealthy connections that I use to make me feel comfort. They are in no way shape or fashion beneficial for the purpose you call me to...(On My knees) But Daddy I have invested in them. I have laughed with them, made memories with them, and Daddy they have become apart of my heart.. Unhealthy and all. What am I suppose to do about the emptiness I will feel when I say good-bye to my type and say hello to my purpose. Daughter, you have solved your own problem you have created your own solution. I know that you are a human being (in flesh), but you are my daughter and heart in spirit and there is nothing more valuable than your purpose in me. I know it hurts to know that the reality of some relationships in your life have no value, they are there for your comfort. That they serve only one purpose and that's to please your flesh... Well Daughter it's time to grow up. It's time to move from the season of your type to the season of your purpose. No longer will you live in the shadows of unhealthy, unproductive, and unrelated relationships Your purpose is greater than anything life can even give you or bring to your life. Daughter let go and let me....Let me take what had no purpose and connect you with purpose. Let me take your type and taste, and create a connection of desire for my word. Let me take what you felt was not worth the time and create a time worth pursing. You are beyond a type Daughter... you are beyond needing people who are just there and never being available to you when you need them...Daughter you are beyond being an option....You are are priority Daughter.....My PRIORITY!!! Connect to me and I will connect you with your purpose....Let go of your type and I will connect you with people design to help you achieve the goals of your purpose... I will replace what you lost, what you say good-bye to, what you let go of......with things that cause you to grow, be healthy, heal you, teach you the lessons of my grace, cause you to trust me at my word. I will increase your faith, I will be the one that shows you the plan. Stop sitting in the middle of the battlefield praying that I would protect you , when I called you to the purpose of being a fighter, a warrior, a intercessor. Stop placing yourself in harms way when I am constantly directing you to a path of safety through my Holy Spirit. So daughter today you  need take hold to the plow and stop looking back, to the left or right of you. Look straight and you will see me. Look up and I will shower you with the blessings of my glory. Stop operating in your strength, will, and even the emotions of your heart. I have you and have you connected to me first and I will bring the right people into your life. I know there are people you know and connected to you that have what you have desired in your heart, that you have interceded for, that you are cried out for and it has cause jealousy to set up in your heart....But know that you are connected to the source that can give you what they have and more in my timing. I love you and there is nothing I wouldn't do for you. So stop worrying about what connections you have to let go of and meditate on the connection you have with me...Daughter I only want the best for you and I love you more than you can even imagine ... Just trust me and let go of your self connections and connect to my supernatural connections...They last longer! Daddy I will. I will connect to you daily and know that the process of the connection is worth the surrendering and letting go of me and losing myself in you.

I love you Daughter... I Do!

The Proper Protocol

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening !

I don't know where you are and when you would read this blog, but I want you to be prepared for the next 40 days as we get ready for a season of reflection.
Today marks day one of 40 days in the Lent season. I have heard about Lent and participated in various parts of the Lent celebration, but never have I had the heart to be so dedicated to the process as I am this year. As a way to really get the simple and purpose of Lent I did some minor research and what I found brought me to tears and revelation.
Lent:  a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ - his suffering and his sacrifice, his life, death, burial and resurrection.

Are you amazed or pressed as me about being apart of the Lent Season? If not I hope that the definition alone cause you to really think about The proper protocol of Jesus' position in your life and your relationship with Daddy. I saw that definition and I was overwhelm with emotions, reflection, and praise at the same time. I was overwhelm with the emotions of gratitude, grace, mercy, love, failure, and awe. I know you are like how did failure get in with those other positive emotions. Well...failure in the sense that I have not done all that Daddy has called me to, nor have I allowed myself the ability to be placed under his wings of trust and safety. Yeah that's the failure I feel. After bypassing my emotions I reflect on the power of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. To remain silent in the mist of hearing and seeing people mock you, beat you, destroy and demean your character and body, and to hear those close to you deny you several times. The feeling of being alone to the point your father forsakes you. I can go on and on, but to know that in the mist of all of this, the only person he talked to was the person that set him up for the assignment. HUM! The praise of Jesus' resurrection resounds in my spirit as I read the story of how he went to his disciples to show that not only is he the Jesus that walk with them, but he has scares on his body that have healed, which is shows the end to life as they knew it and the beginning to a life of eternity with him. WOW! IF that doesn't send you into a place of "THANK YOU," I don't know what will.

As I participate in Lent I will focus on the "Proper Protocol." What is the Proper Protocol you ask? Well that's a good question it is the protocol of Daddy's timing and not my own. Knowing that the manifestation of things happen when Daddy says they happen not during the proper protocol of my own time.  As I reflect on the "Proper Protocol," I am left with this one revelation: "Nothing happens in my life that Daddy has not setup to get the glory from." Let me simplify that for you... There is nothing in your life that Daddy will not get the glory for. Whatever happens in your life no matter how hurtful it is, it is a setup for Daddy to use your situation for his glory, and an opportunity for you to experience not only his presence, but his blessings, peace, joy, provision, protection, and most of all his love.

Prayer: Daddy, thank you! Thank you for always reminding us that the sacrifices of our yesterday was a setup for the presence of your blessings today. Daddy as we go through each day of the life you have given us with issues, situations, and circumstances, reminds us that they are just part of the preparation process for your glory to be revealed to someone that doesn't know you.  Daddy today we submit ourselves to your Proper Protocol, knowing it's not about us, only about you; and if we forsake our selfishness, and embrace your selfishlessnes, you will order o. In Jesus Name... AMEN

Victory of Denial (Days 20-21)

I am sorry that the last two days of 21 day of prayer post are late. But these 21 days were so incredible!
The revelation of denial was so powerful to me. I know you are saying how can you get victory in denial? Well can I tell you know.... I had my heart set on something and I mean set.. I had a plan, I was preparing for the destination, I had created a supported  system for the goal, and then it happen.. A bump in the road, one that threw my plan out of wrack. I mean totally out of wrack.  I felt so defeated, rejected, and the heaviness of denial grew stronger and stronger. I felt like my world had crash again. Here I am thinking that this was something good and I had planned it to the "T" that it would truly work and it blew up in  my face... Well can I tell you I found Victory in my denial.. Yes, Victory... I knew three things about my plan: One, I had not consulted Daddy about what I was doing to know if my plan was his plan; Two, my motives for my plan was to not deal with the aftermath of my divorce and to get away from the memory of being married; and last Three, I was doing it for self. I was willing for forfeit my GOD purpose for my fleshly want. So can you see the victory in my denial? Well if you can't let me keep going.... Had I carried on with the plan the way I wanted, I would have missed out on my blessings, lost focus of my GOD purpose, delayed my healing, created some mess that I couldn't get me out of. I would have just given the enemy the key to walk on in and do what he wanted, because I was willing to obey my flesh over the voice of the Holy Spirit.

So let me help someone that is reading this and thinking, ok I understand what you saying about your denial , but my denial is nothing like yours... it's worst... The denial I experience was heartbreaking. To the point that bouncing back does seem to exist. Well denial in any form hurts, no matter how big or little it is...But the victory in having it in your life is... the aftermath in know that Daddy has something greater that we couldn't even see. The victory in know that Daddy is saying... your plan for you is not even good enough... I don't know about you, but that just blessed me. No even the things I plan, create, or develop for myself is good enough for Daddy.... Hum... meditate on that...Because that means that your plans for your life can't even amount to the value of the plans that Daddy has for your life... YES!!!!!!!!

Prayer: Daddy sometimes we miss the mark of your presence with our plan. We get caught up on what we want to do without consulting you on what you need or want us to do with the life you have given us. We never think to meditate on your instructions and obey what you have told us... and for that Daddy we repent. We know understand that there is victory in denial. The world see the word denial as something negative. As a set back, a disappointment, and a thought of being worthless. But Daddy denial is your opportunity to set us up for greatness, to create value, to show your glory, for your presence to be made know. For that Daddy we say thank you. For only can take what meant for our bad and turn it for our good. In Jesus name! AMEN

Try Me (Days 16-19)

Try ME! Those words keep ringing in my ear TRY ME! TRY ME! T-R-Y- M-E!!!

I don't know about you, but when I see those words I always think about the toys in the store that have the sign TRY ME with a small opening on the box for me to press, pull, poke, or punch for me to get a preview of what they toy is capable of doing. I never thought in my wildest dream that TRY ME would be so powerful until DADDY said it. While meditating one day that's all I heard was TRY ME! The conversation with Daddy was amazing.....
Daddy I have tried you and you have proven to be greater than my heart's desires. You move things that I never saw were an issue, you revealed situations that I never thought were problems, you prepared me for greater things that I knew you could only do. Daddy I have tried you. But Daughter you haven't tried me. You have been assured in what I can do because I have done it, but you haven't tried me. Trying me, means trusting me in all things and in all areas of your life. You never have to doubt or wonder if my previews would fail you if you tried me. You don't have to worry about how much you pray to me, or read my word, you just do it when you try me. It become a second nature to you ...like brushing your teeth. Daughter you haven't tried me, because it take all of you to give me your tithes... you have to primp and cheer yourself into reading my word... our conversations our great, but only come when you need me. I am GOD almighty, yes, But I need the interaction of you and I. I would have not sent my son to die on the cross, if I didn't want to be in your life. I want your heart Daughter. Try ME! Try me at my promises, that you can see the manifestation of my blessings. Try me at my heart that you may know real love... the love not moved by your actions, or what you give, but your presence alone and even when you are not there, I will love you back to me. Try ME! Try ME daughter at my grace, that you know that I will forgive you of all your sins if you just asked in my son's name. That his blood alone can give you the garments to enter into my presence. Try ME at my healing. Know that your mind can't beat the power of my healing. Your mind says you sick, but the breathe of my healing says you are whole... from the crown of your head to the sole of your feet. TRY ME daughter... TRY Me...Daddy I will... I will try you at the greatness you hold, the peace you control, the growth that you give, the increase you provide, the intimate atmosphere of us being in conversation, and just you being Daddy to me. Daughter thank you for realizing that trying me will get you to a place of openness, my presence, my peace, my provision, my vision, my healing, my mercy, and most importantly being my daughter.

I love you Daughter,

Daddy

The Realization (Days10-15)

I was on vacation this pass weekend and I came to a realization. One that brought me to tears and brings me to tears now. Daddy is an option. The assignment, purpose, and plan he has for my life are options to me. What a sad thing right. To write a blog called "Daddy Daughter Conversation," and Daddy is an option. But it's not on purpose... truly it's not! It is selfish...yes selfish.... I am the first to admit that my relationship with Daddy is not where it needs to be or where I desire it to be. This was the reason for this blog, but never did I imagine how bad our relationship had gotten. Here I was on vacation having quite moments and never did I even speak to Daddy until I got home.... Wow I know!! The realization of knowing that even in our darkest moments Daddy will be a light. Even in our procrastination he will be perfectly on time. Even when we don't speak he continues to talk. Even when we forget, he always remembers. When we deny he accepts. When we quit he finishes...Do you see what I am talking about. Daddy will be the good in the mist of your bad no matter your actions. What a wonderful Daddy we have.

So with the realization of Daddy being an option I decided that I would respond to it with convicted growth. The growth in knowing that Daddy can't be an option when I don't make myself a priority. So today face your realization of your relationship with Daddy and respond differently. Don't be convicted, be convinced that Daddy has given you another chance to make your relationship with him a true reality and priority and not one to be an option.

Prayer: Daddy we repent from making you an option in our lives. For us getting caught up in handling things on our own and making ourselves a priority. Daddy we have truly created gods in our lives that have taken your place, causing the reality that life without you is not the way. We thank you for giving us a second chance. We label and identify the reality of life's hardship, when you were the answer and calmness, we desire and need. Daddy renew our priorities. Help us to make you number one, remembering that we only need the things of you. In Jesus name. Amen

A Fresh Start (Day 9)

A fresh start! Those three words are so power. A...Fresh... Start! Can you image what a fresh start looks like for you. To go back to the day where Daddy and you met. Where your heart was totally sold out to him and you spent your days in worship and and your heart focused on his word. Or what about the day you felt his presence for the first time. I mean when you had a day where all you could do is cry in gratitude because you knew Daddy was real. WOW to go back to that day would be great! It would will be the Fresh Start that I need in my life. But wait...I get that daily.. Our fresh start, starts with Daddy's grace and mercy. I mean when you open your eyes Daddy blew a fresh breath of his life into you. Whether you are sick,  depressed, sad, upset, discouraged, shifting, or even having moments like me... Daddy looked at you this morning and simply blew life into you with purpose. WOW.. I am in tears at that revelation.... That everyday I devalue the fresh start that Daddy gives me through his grace and mercy. Life has us in a place were we neglect the appreciation of a fresh start. We sometimes find ourselves asking Daddy for what he has already gave us... A fresh start...a redo...a new beginning...newness... I can go on and on....But today we gain the revelation that we get and have those things everyday when we open our eyes. Today I challenge you to take advantage of the fresh start that Daddy has given you, because who is to say you will ever get it again. The words says: "Tomorrow is not promise to any man. Nor does man know the day or the hour in which the son of GOD will appear again." Let's move forward in our fresh start never neglecting it's value as though we deserve it, but Daddy has honored us with it.

Prayer: Daddy we love you and thank you for the fresh start that you give to us daily. We know that we have neglected, devalued, and taken advantage of the freshstart that you have given to us daily. We put off the assignments that you have given us, disobeying your word, procrastinated in our time, and just took for granted the honor of your grace and mercy. Daddy we say forgive us. Grant us a fresh start that we may complete the purpose you created us for. Daddy give us wisdom on what to do with our fresh start, how to make sure you get the glory in it, and what to say to setup the next fresh start you give us. Daddy we now understand the value of a fresh start and no longer discard it as just a day... But with excitement, purpose, worship, praise, and love we take in the breathe of life you give us, with knowledge and antipation  that you will get the glory as we become example of your love towards others. In Jesus Name. AMEN

It Gets Better (Day 7 and Day 8)

Have you ever had something to happen to you and you talk about with other people they and they simply say  "It Gets Better," and that statement alone seems to add more frustration and stress to the situation. Well can I tell you the revelation that I got out of that statement that they don't way. It Gets Better, because Daddy will never allow you to get worst. I don't know about you, but that just brought some people to my spirit. Even when it seems worst, Daddy will never allow it to get to another state of worst even if you think it can. As I reflected on these couple of days of this prayer journey I realized that two things. I have seen the worst of my life, but I have never seen the righteousness of GOD leave me during those worst times. I mean I was about to lose my car, no job, no income, my family in need of money and things in the house going down; but can I tell you that Daddy NEVER Forsake me! Even when I felt like Daddy had abandoned me and wasn't feeling real to me he was truly working things out. There is someone feeling like I once felt. Hearing the same thing I was hearing "It Gets Better, but let me add the B part of that it get's better because Daddy promise you greater; and unlike man Daddy always comes though and they are always yes and amen!

Prayer: Daddy we may never see the better in the worst, but we talk you that you are not like man who will forsake us during our most vulnerable moments. You take care of us even when we don't see it. Daddy we thank you that today we know and acknowledge that "It Gets Better!" In Jesus Name! AMEN

A Rhema Word (Day 5 and 6)

Rhema Word: the utterance of what GOD has spoken and personalized

Isaiah 55:11: so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

I don't know about you, but I am in a point in my life where I just don't need a word, but I need a Rhema Word. A word tailor made for me and that is truly GOD's personal, intimate message for me, that causes a breakthrough in my life. I need that word that says "Daughter you are on the right path just keep at it." I need the encouragement to keep pressing.

I realize to get to the place of a Rhema Word I need to do somethings first. One, I have to be consistent in my word. If you are any thing like me, you can worship, praise, but it's something about reading the word of GOD that cause you to get confused or a little aggravated; because Hebrew with English makes a hot mess. Well that's how it makes me feel. I have follow and start getting revelation and then that word comes and I can't pronounce it or understand the content of it. Now I got to go to the dictionary, and then the bible study guide to see what's going on, and that one sentence took me three hours to ready. Now I know the words says to study to show yourself strong in the word, but not three hours on one sentence...LOL! However, I have really been praying about the translation understand of the content of what's going on. I mean I can read a chapter or a book of the Bible several times and I am still lost. The second step to gain understanding of the word is ask. Start asking the Holy Spirit for help, it's job to make things of GOD plain and clear; don't deny him his opportunity to give you the revelation you need to move forward in the plan Daddy has for your life. Last, take your time. So many times we want to finish a chapter or the book of the Bible when Daddy may want to speak to you verse by verse. So slow down, take your time when reading...As a matter of read on verse and meditate on it, apply it to your life, and not just that speak it out loud.

Prayer: Daddy we seek you in your word. We thank you that it in order for us to see who you truly are and what you truly can do in our lives all we have to do is speak back to you what you spoke to us. We thank you that for the times that you personalize your word just for our situations and issues. That you not only gave us confirmation, but guidance on how to deal with it and what to do in it. We honor you and thank you for the greatness you are in our lives. In Jesus Name...AMEN!

Slow it Down (Day 4)

As I take on a new journey in my life I realize how fast I want things to move. I was reading in my devotion to day where Daddy simply said:"Slow down. If you you believe that my timing is perfect and you trust my will, then you will not create your own timing." WOW! I create my own timing all the time, not giving Daddy time to do anything, especially since my martial status change. I mean to go from a consistent partner to now being back in this "dating game," has made me feel some kind of way. Can I be real...so as soon as I got the call that my divorce was finalize I went on every online dating site to setup a profile to start dating again. But can I tell you Daddy has a sense of humor. The guys that like my profile were not up to my standards, or even lack something. Now I don't have outrages standards, but I do know what I want... I digress...Because I know you are wondering what does that have to do with your prayer journey...Well everything...here I am trying to find a replacement for the person I just divorce because I don't like being alone, when that's not in Daddy's timing... I need to slow down!!! How many times have you moved in anxiousness because you felt that you were ready? How many times have you said to Daddy I got this cause I know what I want and I learn the lesson on how to identify it? Can I say I have lost count. The devotion today really hit home. Because I have truly been going full speed when it comes to wanting a relationship. I mean I went back to ex's to try to restart something.. That wasn't right because they were ex's for a reason. Then I went from ex's to just being aggressive with men... asking for their number telling me how I felt....Where they do that at??? I live by the scripture that says "A man that findth a woman, findth a good thing, and obtain favor from the Lord." (Proverbs 18:22) Can I tell you that I am trying to be that favor to my husband, my man, my covering... but I can't be that when I am operating in my timing...I have to slow down...Not just with wanting to date again and be in a relationship, but in my ability of wanting to move from one state to another....wanting a better job....My big one is wanting kids....I have truly went to the extreme on that...to the point I had a sperm donor...because I felt that my biological clock is and was ticking...But I need to slow down... Today in my prayer time I realize that my Daddy is a promise keeper...If my divorce was finalized when I wanted it to be, then I couldn't be in a place of true peace at this moment about a new beginning. If I had gotten pregnant when I wanted to get pregnant I would be struggling with how I would pay for the medical expense of having a baby and moving to another state...Do you see where I am going?? Simply put when you slow down you get to experience Daddy's perfect timing... As a matter of fact that's what I want to always experience Daddy's perfect timing with his presence and purpose for me...But to do so I have to slow down...We have to slow down

Prayer: Daddy we are always in a hurry to what life demands of us. Whether it's arriving to a job on time, doing things for our family, spouse, or kids, we are always in a hurry. Daddy today we surrender our time to you... We will be slow to speak, to move, to even think... we will seek you in everything that we do that we can be in your perfect time and that your presence can grant us the wisdom that we need. We know that what we think is slow and long is real fast and on time. We honor you today Daddy and we say thank you in advance for the greatness of your time and the slowing of ours. In Jesus Name, AMEN!

The Journey of 10,000 Tongues (Day 2 and Day 3)

I am always reminded of the saying: "If I had 10,000 tongues I could not praise God enough." Whenever I am in a place of  stress, worry, and frustration. It reminds me that there is not enough in me that could express to Daddy what he means to me. David summed up how our feel in Psalm 119:172 when he said: "May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous."

What is your tongue saying? I asked myself that question yesterday and today and can I say what I am saying is not always pleasing to Daddy. During these next 19 days of prayer I am determined to not only make my praise and worship my weapon of warfare, but a habit that I do daily. I want to be like David in the book of Psalms, praising and acknowledging Daddy for his goodness; appreciating the newness of his grace and mercy every time I wake up, and realizing that being surrounded by darkness, negativity, and doubt creates the atmosphere for Daddy's presence and his perfect timing.

Prayer: Daddy if we had 10,000 tongues it would not be enough to praise you for your goodness and mercy towards us. So with our one tongue we will say thank. Thank for always being consistent and true to your word and promises. Daddy forgive us for using our tongue in the wrong manner sometimes. Allow our words to be acceptable in your sight Daddy. Let our praise bring you glory and our hearts be free in your presence Daddy.

In Jesus name... Amen

Now the other day I said I would tell you how to start your own 21 days of prayer journey. It is truly simple and I can sum it up in 4 steps.

  1. Determine when you want to start the journey
    1. Make sure you plan it around a time that you can dedicate self to Daddy and not be distracted by other events (i.e. vacation, work events, or children activity that cause you to have little or no time)
    2. Set a time you would actually pray. I dedicated 1 hour out my day for prayer...If you new to this prayer thing or actually this is your first time dedicating time to praying I would set at time between 30mins-1hour (Got to give Daddy time to talk back)
    3. Go in with an open heart and listening ear
  2. Buy a Prayer Journal
    1. This can be a simple note book you maker as prayer journal or it can actually be a prayer journal purchased from your local Walmart, Target, or Christian Book Store (it all depends on your budget)
  3. Make a list in your prayer journal of things your are praying for, be specific in your list.
  4. Write down in your prayer journal the people in your inner circle . Your inner circle is a reflection of you. They constantly need to be people that you are interceding for because they influence your world
  5. Make a list what you are expecting Daddy to do when these 21 days are over. If you go to Daddy with expections then you will be more persistent in your prayer time.
  6. Be consistent
    1. You may miss your set time, that's ok don't get discourage, just make sure you make time to pray
    2. It's ok if you don't do the whole time. Daddy is not concern with time, he is concern with the conversation. He delights in the opportunity to grace you with his presence

The Refreshing of the Refresher (Day 1)

"I have decided to stop doing the things that ultimately lead to  a place of nothing and start doing the things that lead me to GOD... My Daddy!" -Shawndrika (Inspired by a sermon given by Pastor Chris Hodges, Church of the Highland)

For the next 21 days I will be doing something different. I will make it my priority to post 21 blogs one each day as I take a 21 day prayer journey to start my new year. This journey is in collaboration with that of my church, Church of the Highlands. Please check it out, our pastor is doing a sermon series called "I have decided." (www.churchofthehighlands.com) I also encourage you to start your new year with a prayer journey as well...I will give instructions on how to do in tomorrow's blog.

The quote for today was part of the revelation that I received during the series. It was one that lead me to a place where "I Decided...to become refreshed, by the refresher Daddy." In 2013 I face the reality of a few  hard facts. Fact 1. My marriage was over. I realized though I had gotten the revelation of who GOD was, where I went wrong in my actions, thinking, and even loving my husband (at the time) there was nothing I could do to get him to see the same thing. So with that in mind I made the decision to sign the papers for divorce. We had nothing together physically, but spiritual I had to deal with a soul tie that I didn't want to let go or should I say know how to let go due to it being a comfort for me. Fact 2. In march of last year an even took place that ultimately divided my family. It was a reality check for those who had been covering the action up, and a reality check for me of how my family members felt about me. Can I take a side note and say to someone: Not even your family can understand the value of your anointing nor will they congratulate you for the accomplishments you have made in life; no matter how much you do for them. Also know that we have to make decision that sometimes will cause your family members to make heart and hard choice. When they realize they were wrong that the situation is based on their actions too they will not apologize, but place the blame solely on you. But know in the blame you are getting healed and things that have been broken well be amended and healed. "What the devil meant for bad, GOD will turn around for your good, even when you don't see how." Fact 3. My worth is the last thing I had to deal with. Have you felt so beaten down that not even the love of Daddy seems to fill you up or even shake the feeling and action of worthlessness you are feeling inside and out? OO OO OO Can I tell you that was me. It hurt to know that fact 1 and 2 were happening and there was nothing in my power I could do to stop it, correct it, voice my opinion about it to open the eyes of the parties involved, or even prevent it from happening all together. Isn't it like Daddy to show you who is control...Him! So with the facts in my face and constant reminders being around me of the facts... I start losing it.. then I felt that I was losing my mind. I mean I was so depressed that I was on the verge of seeking medication...But can I tell you that there is no timing that Daddy is not perfect in. I had the honor to go to L.I.F.E. Which stands for Living In Freedom Everyday! During life I go the revelation of forgiveness... Forgiveness: The ability to release what someone has done to you or what you have done to someone or yourself without having to reconcile the relationship...  All this time I thought that forgiveness came with the ability to do part A and having to reconcile. That revelation in itself created a refreshing in my spirit. Now let me take a sidebar and say: If  the relationship needs to be reconcile it will happen, but you don't have to force it.  So with forgiveness in play, release from a marriage, and learning that I have family that can move beyond... I realize it was time to be refreshed by the father and it could not come at a more perfect time.
As I pray and intercede for 21 days for this blog, family, brothers, sisters, friends, and other people and things I asked for a refreshing to take place. One that will create not only a newness in my spirit, but in the spirit of those that read this blog and share it with others. I look forward sharing my daily prayer revelations and really speaking into your life as I pray for you and whatever the Holy Spirit tells me.

Prayer: Daddy what and awesome privilege it is to be refreshed by you. To see your presence every morning as we enter into a world filled with chaos, murder, hate, and discord. Daddy there is someone facing more reality facts that I have listed and others who are facing the same facts that I have listed; I pray right now that your presence meet them right now. Daddy we can find ourselves in a depressed state seeking only the things that can numb us to a point of just functioning in the earth. But Daddy you didn't create us to just function you create us to rule, reign, and subdue the earth with your presence, love, and worship. We are the light of this world, and though it seems as though our light has become dim, we change your light bulb and stand tall, look to you for help during the moments of fact facing realities...being reminded that facts and reality don't outweigh  faith, grace, mercy, and love, all the things you have equipped us with. Daddy thank you that for every "moment" we have in our day, creates the atmosphere for your perfect timing. We honor you Daddy and we take heed to your instructions as we move beyond what is comfortable for us to the refreshing presence of your love and grace. In Jesus Name. AMEN!
